	Caring for your jewellery Here a few basic tips to looking after your jewellery: Clean your silver jewellery with a mild soap and water solution, gently dry with a soft cloth. If you feel this is not enough then use a silver cleaning solution that can be bought from most jewellers or supermarkets. Always use a polishing cloth as tissue paper or paper towels may cause scratches. Store your jewellery in a cool dark dry place, preferably wrapping each piece in a soft piece of cloth. * Avoid contact with chemicals such as; perfume, hairspray, deodorant etc. Sometimes perspiration will also tarnish silver. * It’s a good idea to remove any silver jewellery if you go swimming as chlorine can damage some gemstones and tarnish precious metals. Pearls Pearls can be damaged by perfume, hairspray, detergents and perspiration. Its best finish putting on make up before putting on your pearls. Always wipe with a soft damp cloth after wearing. Coral Perspiration can dull the colour of coral. Look after in the same way as pearls. Amber Again, don’t let amber get into contact with hairspray, perfumes, cosmetics and chemicals.
